COMMERCIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Your reservation with Universal Understanding LLC dba 4starPeru for Reserva Amazonica may include accommodations, meals, excursions, 10% service charge, specified ground transportation, and other services agreed to in your this proposal. Prices do not include the 19% V.A.T., applicable only to Peruvians and foreign residents of Peru. For tax exemption on lodging and meals, foreign tourists must show their ORIGINAL passport at the hotel entrance. These are specifice booking conditions for Reserva Amazonica. Universal Understanding LLC's general booking conditions remain valid for all other services. Services Not Included: Costs of travel insurance, park entrance fees, unspecified transportation to and from the hotels, items of a personal nature such as drinks, laundry, communication (calls, faxes, emails, etc.), national and international airport departure tax, gratuities, special programs or other services not specified in the program. Cancellation Policy: A full refund will apply only to cancellations received at least thirty (30) days prior to arrival at the hotel. For cancellations received between twenty nine (29) days and fifteen (15) days prior to arrival at the hotel, a 50% refund will be applied. There will be no refund for cancellations received fourteen (14) days or less prior to arrival at the hotel. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, cancellations must be made previously. Third Party Services: In various circumstances clearly specified in the proposal, 4starPeru, in addition to our own services, will provide booking and handling for third party services which include restaurants, airlines, other forms of transportation, private guides and other services specified in your reservation for which we charge fees. We are responsible for our own services and for making reservations and payments. Without limitation 4starPeru is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation any willful or negligent act or failure to act or breach of contract of any third party such as an airline, train, local ground transportation, and/or restaurant or other which is or does supply any goods or services for this trip. Similarly, 4starPeru is not responsible for any loss, or inconvenience due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodation, default of any third party, sickness, lack of appropriate medical care, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, force majeure, criminal activity or any other cause beyond our control. All scheduled airline flights are occasionally subject to overbooking or cancellation, we have no responsibility for any additional expense, omission, delay, reconfirmation or re-routing that may occur in such a circumstance. Unused Services: There will be no refunds made for cancelled or unused services whatsoever. Fees: Upon request of additional services such as train tickets, domestic airfare, etc., 4starPeru will charge an additional $30.00 for each solicited service. Payment Terms: A deposit of 100% of the program cost is required upon acceptance of the proposal and creation of a reservation code. . Payment constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out herein. Accepted Methods of Payment: We accept two methods of payment: credit cards or direct deposit to any of our bank accounts. 1. CREDIT CARDS We accept Visa, American Express and Master Card. We can process your charge by fax from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm Eastern Standard Time.
